Siyelo is looking for experienced web developers to join our agile  
startup. We are establishing strong web consultancy, with plans to  
expand our offerings to additional major markets in the next 6 months.

To accomplish our business goals, we use Ruby on Rails to build robust  
and highly configurable platforms for our clients. We are seeking 2  
strong developers to help us expand our product and service offerings.

Besides working in an awesome team with some great programmers, in

Historically we've found candidates with experiences similar to items  
listed below are successful in our interviewing process and as  
successful team members:
  * Advanced knowledge & experience in CSS/XHTML
  * Experience with JavaScript/AJAX/JSON/DOM & libraries (jQuery,  
Script.aculo.us and especially Prototype)
  * Experience in contributing to information architecture & user  
interaction designs
  * Experience building n-tier Internet applications in Ruby on Rails  
is highly desirable
  * Demonstrated experience/knowledge building consumer facing  
database-driven web applications.
  * Open-source software experience/knowledge a plus
  * Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or a related field) or prior  
work experience that is applicable to the position. The ideal profile  
includes 2-5 or more years of experience as a web developer (Entry- 
level candidates with a solid interest and background will be  
considered).
  * Experience working in Unix environments (Mac OS X, Linux) while  
also comfortable verifying your work in Windows clients
  * Experience interacting effectively with other team members,  
management and clients. Must have excellent English verbal/written  
communications skills, as there is a high degree of interaction.
  * Requires a customer support orientation and competence in response  
to vendors and staff during system implementation and problem  
resolution which includes rotation amongst team off hours application  
administration incident support
